The Wonders of Parts of Speech

Nouns are the stars, the names we call,
Like dog, sunshine, tree, or ball. 🌳☀️
They tell us who and what we see,
From you to me, and cup of tea! ☕

Verbs bring action, they move the show—
They run, jump, laugh, and glow. 🏃‍♀️✨
Without them, sentences just stand still,
No drama, no chase, no climbin’ a hill!

Adjectives add sparkle and style,
They dress up nouns and make them smile. 😊
Big red balloon, tiny blue shoe,
They tell us what things look like too!

Adverbs describe how things are done,
Quickly, slowly, under the sun. ☀️
They even tell us when and where,
Like here, now, or over there!

Pronouns step in to take a name,
Like he, she, or they—it’s all the same.
No need to say “Lilly” fifty times,
Just say she likes books and nursery rhymes!

Conjunctions like and, but, or so,
Help our ideas link and flow. 🔗
"I want pizza and some juice!"
They help us join—so what’s the use?

Prepositions show place and time,
Like on, under, before, or behind.
The cat sat under the chair so neat—
These little words make poems complete!
